Aging Skin
Keeping your youthful look
There are plenty of simple steps you can take to help your skin retain or regain its supple youthfulness. A daily skin care regimen includes:
- Nutrition — eating a balanced diet with all the required vitamins, minerals and nutrients will promote overall health, including that of your skin. Be sure to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and grains, and try to keep fat to a minimum.
- Regular exercise — it promotes good circulation which carries nutrients to the skin and removes wastes and toxins.
- Apply a moisturizer — morning and night to ensure that your skin stays flexible and well hydrated.
- Do not smoke — smoking makes the skin lose lustre and tone, and hastens wrinkles.
- Avoid exposure to sun — use a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day, rain or shine, all year round. Wear protective clothing, including a hat.
- A good night's sleep — it's as good for the body as it is for the mind.
Not only can wrinkles be prevented, they can be treated. Your physician can tell you which treatment is best for your specific needs.
Look youthful, feel good.
